The Highlight Mega is a competition standard slope / thermal soaring glider of the highest quality. The aircraft consists of a full carbon kelvar fuselage with a built-up, carbon-reinforced tail. The nose of the aircraft is snubbed to allow installation of a 480 or larger motor, 33mm max. The built-up wings have carbon tiplets, centre section, leading and trailing edges.
Outboard ailerons are fitted along with very large flaps which run all the way up to the wing root.
The wings are retained on the aircraft by two stainless steel pins mounted on the leading edge with a further two wingbolts attached to the fuselage on the trailing edge. The centre spar is of dense carbon weave.
